IOWA CITY, Iowa โ Little Hawk Football hosted Waterloo East for exhibition action on Friday as part of Fall Sports Night at City High.
Players from all levels suited up for full contact ahead of the week one matchup with Joliet Catholic. For the varsity team, activities began with a 7-on-7 session before moving into two competitive quarters.
Considered a national powerhouse, Joliet Catholic enters the season ranked in the suburban Chicago “Super 10.” The Hilltoppers are 15-time state champions– an Illinois high school record– winning their most recent championship in 2021.
They head to historic Bates Field to face off with a resurgent City High program under Head Coach Mitchell Moore.
