IOWA CITY, Iowa – The City High Football program is excited to share its first release from our new website, littlehawkfb.org. This release contains important information for City High Football families.
First of all, please be aware that our site is still currently under construction. We can’t wait for you to explore this exciting new resource, but for now most of the pages you come across will be blank. The website will be fully operational as we move closer to the start of the season, at which time we will communicate all of the useful information at your disposal.
We believe the new site promises to maximize communication, engagement, and exposure for our program. In the meantime, please follow us on all of our social media channels to stay connected. Little Hawks fly together!
One page that is currently accessible is our program calendar, which can be found at the top of our home page under the “Calendar” menu tab. Note that on smartphones you may need to expand each event with the see details options, while the laptop version of the site should make all information visible within the same window.
A few important dates to look out for:
On July 22, varsity players are asked to attend the St. Ambrose team camp. Players will receive more details about this event in the coming days.
The IHSAA-mandated no contact period runs from July 24 through the 31st, so plan accordingly. We support this scheduled rest and family time for our student athletes and families.
Little Hawk Camp Week kicks off August 1-4, and attendance is strongly encouraged. This is a crucial period as our team gets ready for the fall season, which gets underway later in the month of August! Sign-up links for high schoolers, junior high student athletes, and fourth-sixth graders are hyper-linked here.
Lastly, good luck to City High Baseball at the State Tournament tonight! Please support the Little Hawks at Duane Banks Field, and remember to wear red.
Stay tuned for further communication as the season rapidly approaches. Thank you for your support as we pursue #TheGOLDStandard.
