Ja'Korey Walker

Coach Walker is the defensive line coach at City High. Entering his third season with the Little Hawks, Walker is a relationship builder who teaches both the fundamentals and intangibles needed to the line of scrimmage.

Walker serves as an admin fellow at Northwest Junior High and enters his eighth year of coaching. Walker served as the offensive line coach at Iowa Wesleyan for two seasons before joining the City High staff in 2018.

Walker was a decorated player at the high school and college levels. He prepped at Fayette County High School in Fayette, Alabama, a storied program with the most wins in Alabama history. He was voted Most Valuable Lineman as a senior in 2011.

After graduating, Walker went on to play college football at Iowa Wesleyan College. As a three-year starter on the offensive line, he was voted Team MVP and earned all-conference honors in 2014.

Coach Walker earned his Bachelors in Educational Foundations at Iowa Wesleyan and holds a Masters in Social Work from St. Ambrose University. He has been married to his wife BreyAnna for two years, and they have one-year-old twin daughters, EmmaLee and LaDessa.
