Lead. That is the challenge and the promise this community places before its young people.
In a way, there is no higher standard. Excellence– like even perfection– is attainable; leadership, though empirical in one sense, is an ideal. Principal John Bacon lends his voice, helping to articulate what the mission to “lead” means to the 2023 City High football team.
This project was produced by the joint work of the City High Football Videography team. This small group of community members, alumni and students shares material and coordinates their efforts to help promote the program and populate the video board on Friday nights.

On Friday, the Little Hawks take on suburban-Chicago powerhouse Joliet Catholic. Kickoff has been adjusted to 7 p.m. at historic Bates Field.
